David Bruskin joined the firm in 2003 and leads The Bruskin Group that works with high net worth and institutional clients to establish investment policy, design asset allocation strategies, and implement customized solutions. He is located at Lake Forest Bank & Trust and has more than 30 years of experience in the securities industry; 20 of which have been spent serving families in the Lake Forest and Lake Bluff communities. As an investment advisor representative for Wintrust Wealth Management, he is able to provide his clients with brokerage, trust, asset management, and insurance services. Dave currently has capital responsibility of over $1 billion in assets under management.

The Bruskin Group also assists Wintrust’s commercial banking division by working with business owners concentrating on the life cycle of wealth accumulation, preservation, and distribution. Dave’s team identifies and analyzes the challenges impacting high net worth individuals, and understands how to develop specific strategies to minimize taxes, monetize and protect assets, maximize growth, and transfer wealth.

In 2013, Dave successfully completed the Advanced Investment Strategist Certificate in Portfolio Management, as designated by the Investments and Wealth Institute. In 2002, Dave attended the Certified Investment Management Analyst Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and is a member in good standing of the Investments and Wealth Institute. He received an MBA in Financial Markets from the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School of Business, and earned a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University. Dave holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 Licenses in addition to Illinois Life, Health, and Variable Annuities Insurance Licenses.
