As Chief Executive Officer for Wintrust Private Trust Company, Mary Ann Korenic is responsible for creating, communicating, and implementing the firm’s vision, mission, and overall strategic business development efforts.
She brings over 30 years of wealth management, trust, estate planning, and fiduciary expertise to the role. Upon joining Wintrust in 2013, she started in the Trust Company as a Trust Officer and Senior Wealth Advisor. From there, Mary Ann broadened her responsibilities within the Wintrust Private Client Group leading business development initiatives and operating as the key point of contact for high net worth clients, business owners, and prospects in matters relating to trust and estate planning. In 2018, Mary Ann was promoted to Managing Director in the Wintrust Private Client Group, taking responsibility for leading the team of private bankers in the Chicago market. In June of 2020, Mary Ann was promoted to CEO of Wintrust Private Trust Company.
Prior to joining Wintrust, Mary Ann served as Vice President and Senior Trust Team Manager in the Philadelphia/Wilmington region for Wells Fargo Bank; was Director of Trust Administration and Trust Relationship Manager at Fifth Third Private Bank in Chicago, served as Vice President and Senior Fiduciary Executive at First National Bank in Lansing, IL, as well as Personal Trust Relationship Manager and Business Development Officer at Northern Trust Bank of Arizona.
Mary Ann graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications and earned her JD from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. She is a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council and on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross, Illinois division. Mary Ann is also an active member of the Chicago Financial Exchange and the Chicago Chapter of the Women Leaders Association. Mary Ann Chairs the Women of Wintrust Business Resource Group. Mary Ann and her husband live in Dyer, Indiana, and their blended family is inclusive of 5 children and two grandchildren.
